The Castle is a 19th Century traditional family run Inn which is situated in the Castle Quay part of Bedford, close to the River Ouse, Bedford's Cecil Higgins Museum and a five minute walk to Bedford Blues rugby ground, as well the High Street and shopping area.
The Castle is your village pub in the centre of town, offering a warm, relaxing and friendly welcome, as well a great choice of cask ales, ciders, fine wines, soft and hot drinks.
If you would like to dine with us, we have a small lite bite menu, with the food being homemade by The Castle, this is available daytime and evenings.
Also on an evening we will be serving traditional hand stretched wood fired pizzas from local Bedford restauranteurs Pizzeria Santaniello who will deliver authentic Italian cuisine to your table at the Castle, while you enjoy a relaxing drink in a traditional pub. As well as authentic Thai Food from local restauranteurs Rice Thai.
The Castle has an enclosed outside courtyard area for the summer months, as well as a large car park.
Functions
We can cater for functions too, we do not have a separate function room, but if you are looking for somewhere to have a small celebration, leaving do, or even a wake we can supply a Castle Buffet to suit your needs.
